Official Rules & Regulations
By participating, you agree that: These Official Rules & Regulations govern the conduct of the raffle and together with the decisions of the American Saddle Horse Museum Association Inc. dba The American Saddlebred Museum are binding on everyone who purchases a raffle ticket and/or who is named on a raffle ticket. The American Saddle Horse Museum Assn. golf cart raffle is a fundraising activity in support of the American Saddlebred Museum conducted by the American Saddlebred Museum. These official rules may not be waived, modified, or supplemented unless such waiver, modification or supplementation is made in writing by the American Saddle Horse Museum Association.
GRAND PRIZE DRAWING: The grand prize drawing will be held on January 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM EST at the American Saddlebred Museum, 4083 Wing Commander Way, Suite 150, Lexington, KY. The winning ticket will be drawn at random from a container holding all eligible raffle tickets purchased. The drawing for the prize is open to the public, however, the winner does not need to be present to win. The drawing will be broadcast via Facebook Live (facebook.com/asbmuseum).
TICKETS: The price per ticket is $50.00 each and may be purchased from the American Saddlebred Museum via our website, in our offices/gift shop, mail order or purchased by phone. Tickets may be purchased online until approximately 10:00 AM EST, January 25, 2024. A maximum of 1,500 will be sold. Ticket sales will cease when the maximum number of qualified entries is reached.
Upon acceptance, purchasers will receive an email providing a copy of their raffle ticket number(s). ASM is not responsible for undelivered, lost, or rejected emails.
GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize Winner will receive their choice of a 2024 E-Z-GO Valor EX1 golf cart sponsored by Dever Golf Inc, Lexington, KY, MSRP $11,681 or a $8,000 cash prize. To pick up their Golf Cart, the winner may call or go in person to Dever Golf Inc, Midway, KY. Any modifications to this prize must be negotiated between the winner and Dever Golf Inc.
The Grand Prize Winner will be notified by telephone, email, and posted on the American Saddlebred Museum webpage. The winner will need to provide proper identification. The winner agrees to the use of his or her name, photograph or videotape likeness and statements for publicity purposes by the American Saddlebred Museum without any further compensation.
The grand prize winner assumes and must pay all fees and charges (including, but not limited to, tags and license), income taxes, local, state and federal taxes when the vehicle is transferred to the winner. The winner will take possession of the golf cart at Dever Golf Inc., Midway, KY. Any other costs of ownership such as insurance are the responsibility of the prize winner. The American Saddle Horse Museum Assn. assumes no responsibility for a prize winner’s tax obligations and suggests you consult your tax advisor. The Internal Revenue Service or the Kentucky Department of Revenue will use the value of the golf cart to determine any income tax that may be payable. Forms W-2G & 941 will be filed with the Internal Revenue Service to report the value of the prize won. The winner will also receive a copy of form W-2G. This offer is void where prohibited by law.
By participating in this raffle, all ticket purchasers and the person named on each raffle ticket accept and agree to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here and that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the American Saddle Horse Museum Assn for publicity purposes and naming of the prize winner to be published on our website, social media and print.
By participating in this raffle, each participant releases the American Saddle Horse Museum Association and each of its respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, but not limited to, liability for injuries, losses or damages arising from or caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, and each winner agrees to indemnify and hold American Saddle Horse Museum Assn. and each of its respective directors, officers, employees and agents harmless from any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the winner’s acceptance or use of any prize.
ELIGIBILITY: Raffle ticket purchasers and the person named on a raffle ticket must be at least 18 years of age at the time of purchase. Raffle tickets may not be purchased in the name of a business, trust, corporation or other entity, or wherever prohibited by applicable law. Offer void where prohibited by law.
The golf cart will be transferred to the Grand Prize winner in “AS IS, WHERE IS” condition by Dever Golf Inc. The American Saddle Horse Museum Association and Dever Golf Inc. do not provide any guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, in connection with the golf cart other than any warranty provided by the manufacturer. The American Saddle Horse Museum Association and Dever Golf Inc. accept no liability or responsibility regarding the manufacturing or condition of the golf cart.
The American Saddlebred Museum Board Members, Committee Members and employees and their families are eligible to purchase tickets and have the same odds of winning. Employees of Dever Golf Inc. and their families are also eligible to purchase tickets and have the same odds of winning. We are a non-profit and this is a fundraising endeavor.
REFUNDS: All raffle ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made except any ticket request with verified payment received after 1,500 tickets have been sold.
PRIZE AWARDS IN EVENT OF NON-SELLOUT OF TICKETS: A maximum of 1,500 tickets will be sold. A minimum of 400 tickets must be sold for the Grand Prize winner to receive their choice of the golf cart or $8,000 cash. If fewer than 400 raffle tickets are sold, the American Saddlebred Museum reserves the right to substitute 50% of the gross sales revenue from the tickets sold as of the time of the entry deadline as the prize in lieu of the golf cart or $8,000 cash prize. The American Saddle Horse Museum Association reserves the right to cancel this raffle at any time, in which event, refunds would be issued to all participants.
REGISTRATION: This raffle is conducted for the benefit of the American Saddlebred Museum by the American Saddle Horse Museum Association, Inc and is licensed by the Kentucky Office of Charitable Gaming, License number ORG0002659.
